Tools

Tools are the controls used to manipulate proteins in FoldIt. Each has its own function, although these are sometimes subject to changes as the game evolves. Current tools in Pull Mode include the following:

• Lock
• Rebuild
• Shake Sidechains (local and global)
• Tweak
• Wiggle (local and global)
• Rubber Bands
• Recent Best

There are also three current tools in Structure Mode:

• Helix
• Loop
• Sheet

These may be selected while in Structure mode by right-clicking a section to open up a pie menu containing all three.
