Scorpion toxin in Foldit refers to two revisiting puzzles. One version was originally presented as Puzzle 55: Scorpion Toxin, the other was originally presented as Puzzle 69: Scorpion Toxin. Both puzzle 55 and 69 debuted in 2008.

As the name implies, the proteins in these puzzles are the toxins from scorpions, specifically neurotoxins. The puzzle 55 protein comes from Androctonus australis, one of the most toxic species of scorpion. The puzzle 69 protein comes from Hottentotta judaicus, a species of scorpion identified in 1872, which is much less toxic to humans.
